On this day I got to have lunch with Caleb in Ames, which is a very rare treat. We went to India Palace, a great Indian buffet in Campustown. So on this day, I'm thankful for my hugely expanded palate (as compared to how I was 10 years ago). I used to be sooooo picky, but I've become braver and like to try lots of new foods! Strange (and normal) meats still creep me out, so I'm not suuuuper adventurous, but I always like to try new ethnic foods.

Today I'm thankful for podcasts. Caleb and I drove around 6 hours to Duluth, MN for a wedding and listened to the podcast "The Black Tapes," which was really fun. We also talked and had fun together, but having the podcast definitely made the drive less painful.

Today I'm thankful for our [fairly new] friends Nate and Eleena. We met them Caleb's college roommate Andrew (Nate is his cousin), and since they've moved to Ankeny, we love having them as our "couple friends". They got married on Saturday and the wedding and reception were so fun. I'm very happy for them!

Today I'm thankful for our friends Andrew (mentioned above) and Amanda. We went to visit them in DC a month ago, and got to see them again this weekend at Nate and Eleena's wedding. They rode part of the way back home with us, and spent the night at our place on Sunday night before moving out to Colorado! I'm sad they're moving so far away (again), but now it's another excuse to visit Colorado!

Today I'm thankful for my best friend, Tara. She sent me the sweetest card that made me feel so loved and happy. She is so thoughtful and supportive of me. She also lives in Colorado, so a trip out there is definitely needed soon.

Jud likes to listen to Podcasts too - will need to check them out. I listened to the true crime one last year. The guy will now get his evidence reviewed. I download books from the library onto my iPhone. A huge leap from books on CDs.
Happy Tgiving!
