Weddings

So I have 7 weddings to go to this summer/fall. It's crazy - a lot of them are actually my age or younger!

I will be the first to admit that this freaks me out a little, and makes me feel old. And not to mention people my age having babies and little families - even weirder! Although Caleb and I are discussing the future and all, it's still weird to think about.

Now I have to go buy some more dresses.... or borrow from friends. I've already got one dress lined up to borrow, and I should look for some more. Since all of these weddings except for one will be in Creston, I can't repeat outfits. :)

Another thing I think about is that I really hope that everyone getting married has really thought their decision through. Although I really hope all of these couples make it, and I think many will, I worry about others. I think some of them are doing it as a "fix" to their relationship. Like, "Oh, things aren't quite how I like it. Getting married will fix things." Or even worse, "We're growing apart and unhappy. A baby will bring us back together!" Scary!

So although presents and dresses and travel expenses to get to all these weddings is going to be pricey, I am excited. Parties with (hopefully) free booze and old friends, sharing happy times.... it'll be fun.
