- Friday - Linda & Gabe's Reception
- Saturday - Tianni's Wedding, Kristen's Bachelorette Party
- Sunday - Move out of Joan's, move Caleb out of Ames apartment, organize stuff for my parents to move me out of my Ames apartment.
Bleh!
But I am excited to be officially in Clear Lake after Sunday. Whoo! Final nesting to commence this week. All I really have left to do is:
- Unpack remaining stuff from Joan's
- Organize desk, vanity, spare room closet
- Vacuum
- Recycle cardboard and cans
- Organize laundry/mud room
- Learn to grill
- Cut and place carpet remnant we bought last weekend
- Hang pictures
- Decide what to do with large wall spaces. I'm thinking wall decals - any suggestions?
I'm sure I'll find more stuff to do. It's kind of fun playing house. Except it's real. And it's probably only fun at the beginning, and then I'll learn to hate cleaning it. :)
My friend T is also moving in with her boyfriend this weekend.... crazy! Now two of my closest friends and I all live with our guys. Cool, but somehow I doubt we'll have as much fun as when we all lived together in the South dorms. Good times.
We're also all spread out now - Iowa, Kansas, Colorado. From the same dorm floor to different states. Makes me sad. I see how my mom talks about her high school friends, and how she barely knows them anymore. But I feel like we are pretty different already - she kind of lost touch with them after high school and it stayed that way. We're still going pretty strong after 5 years (eek!) out of high school. Go us. I hope we keep in close contact with each other, keep updated on our lives, and find time for girl getaways every once in a while. I'm always afraid that when we do get together, we won't know what to say to each other, or we'll have changed. But so far it's all been good. We talk non-stop and fall right back in place.
I've been thinking about my friends a lot lately, friends from high school and college, and the prospect of making new ones in Clear Lake. I just hope I make my new friends soon and that my old friends visit me!

I wanted to call you tonight, but of course, it's 10:30 here and 11:30 there and I don't know your bedtime. But anyway, nothing could ever be as cool as living down the hall from you and T in South.
