11/4 - On Sunday I was thankful for hospice. Ok, sounds strange, but on Sunday, our long time family friends the Goldsmiths went to visit their brother-in-law/uncle Bolder, who is currently in hospice with cancer. I am thinking about them a lot, hoping their family can find peace and that Bolder is as comfortable as possible. From our experience with my grandpa in hospice before he passed away this spring, the people that work there are amazing. They did so much to respect our family, make my grandpa as comfortable and pain-free as possible, and help with the transition so we didn't worry while we were spending our last moments with him. I hope the Goldsmiths and Bullocks have a good hospice that will help them through their time with Bolder.
11/5 - On a lighter note, I'm thankful today that I still have all my toenails, although it remains to be seen how long I can keep them. I'm hopeful though that they will all pull through.
