Since the last update we've been busy, of course. Two weekends ago we celebrated the wedding of two of our friends in Des Moines, and it was so fun to see them and a lot of old college friends. Caleb was in the wedding so we were busy from Friday evening through Sunday morning with festivities. I like to think that I did a pretty good job keeping up with everyone through all the fun. I didn't stay out for any after parties, but I danced a lot and stayed through the whole reception! Here are some pictures from the wedding.

This last weekend (Memorial Day Weekend), I went to Omaha to visit my grandparents, and we went to Creston to celebrate birthdays with Caleb's family. Speaking of birthdays - I had my Voldemort birthday on May 23 (the birthday which shall not be named). I think being pregnant makes me feel even older!
I am currently at 26 weeks and 2 days. At 26 weeks we celebrated Baby C's v-day, or viability day! At 26 weeks, Baby's chances of survival out of the womb jump to 90% (with plenty of medical intervention). We plan to cook a lot longer, but it's a good milestone.
Today I had a midwife appointment, and from now on we go every two weeks instead of every four. I did end up measuring a little big this time - at each appointment once I started showing, the midwife measures from my pubic bone to the top of my uterus, which she can feel based on the hardness of my belly (it's a ways above my belly button now). They measure in centimeters and normally your measurement should match the number of weeks you're at (or within 2cm of it). I am at 26 weeks but measuring at 30 centimeters.... which doesn't make me feel great, but isn't anything to worry too much about. They'll check again in two weeks and she could be back on track by then, who knows.
In two weeks I also have my glucose test to see if I have gestational diabetes or not, which I reallyreallyreallyreally hope I don't. #1 - because it makes bigger babies (harder to birth), #2 - it might remove me from the midwife practice because it's a higher risk factor, #3 - I don't want to worry about what I'm eating all the time, and #4 - obvious health reasons for me and Baby C. Wish me luck!
I will leave you with a fun video I just took... Baby C has been going nuts in my belly and she kicks so hard you can see it from the outside! In the video she starts out with a big kick, then look to the right side of the video for little jumps and shifts. She has been doing this non-stop for the last hour or so. So glad I can be her personal gymnasium! (Apologies for the West Wing commentary in the background.)

Baby C will likely be 1 by the time Amy and Corey tie the knot! You'll be able to party it up big.
I miss that feeling of the kicks! You got an awesome video of it though. And I love the shirt you were wearing for the video too... HEHE!
