For those of you not on Facebook, Eleanor Grace Carroll arrived at 2:06 AM on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. As you can see in the photo below, she is perfect.
The birth itself was far from perfect. I ended up developing pre-eclampsia after going over a week overdue, and after a long labor, needed a c-section. It wasn't pleasant and really wiped me out for over a week after the birth, but I'm doing fine now and feeling much better.
"Lenny" is doing great, letting us sleep pretty well at night and figuring out lots of baby stuff like feeding and pooping. We are slowly learning how to care for her and keep her happy. She's a pretty content baby, but it can be overwhelming at times.
Hopefully I will keep checking back in periodically as she lets me... she can keep us pretty busy!
