Ketchup (get it?)

In my last post, when I said it had been a long time, well, now it's just ridiculous. It's been over 2 months since I've written! So here goes for catch up....

I spent December training my replacement at work, and I feel confident that she will do a good job. Her first couple of months will be hard, but I think I did about everything I could to prepare her. And man, not having to worry about that stuff is great! I thought I might miss it, or feel some sense of ownership over my old accounts, but I am feeling great and am barely even curious about how things are going.

Christmas was great - we had a big snowstorm that stranded some and postponed plans for others, but in the end I still got to see all of my family and enjoy all of our traditions. New Year's was fun, too. I went down to Creston and partied with my friends from high school, of course going to A&G's and then the Zone. I wish we would have gotten some pictures of all of us - especially since Bailey, Tara and I dressed up in dresses and everything!

I am currently unemployed, and it's pretty fun so far. I've been keeping busy with doing stuff around the house, job searching, and getting a lot of wedding stuff done. I'm excited to have so much reserved so far and making my way down my never-ending list of To-Do's for the wedding. Soon to come will be some manual labor of printing the Save-the-Dates and making invitations. No better time to do it than while unemployed, though, right?

Job searching is going.... slowly. There's not a lot out there, and until I get desperate, I don't want to take just anything. I'm working with a job placement agency, and they have a decent-sounding lead, and I've been applying some places on my own, but yeah, kind of slow. I'm looking into possibly doing some part-time work, or maybe volunteering. We'll see.

The other thing I'm keeping busy with is my workouts. I've really turned it up a notch, thanks to Tara's ideas for a weekly workout plan. I even created a master spreadsheet of my workout plan and log (maybe I do miss parts of my job just a little....). I've been running, doing other cross training cardio like biking and elliptical, and lifting weights. I'm also back on my Weight Watchers plan, and I am proud to say that I maintained my weight through the holidays and am back to losing. Tomorrow is weigh in day for me, so I'm hoping for a good number.

I'm also pretty pumped that my shows are back on. That's right, Biggest Loser, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and Project Runway are all back! Biggest Loser continues to be inspirational... although sad sometimes with this being the most unhealthy group yet (although I think they say that every season). So far I don't really have any favorites yet, but that one lady that's already "playing the game" is scarily reminding me of Tracy from last year... let's hope she doesn't throw anyone under the bus.

With all of my free time, I'll try to get more regular about posting on here. And you other bloggers, keep posting as well - I love reading yours more than I like posting in mine!

I totally thought of Tracy when that one lady gained a pound and was "playing the game"! And I kind of liked that southern couple... not anymore!
