March 30-31

March 30
  • Tried a new marinade on chicken tonight - vegetable juice. Only tried it because I had some left over. It was ok.
  • We talked to our next door neighbors for a while tonight, which was fairly new. Their little boy was so cute - he told Caleb and I that we were very handsome and pretty. :)
March 31
  • Went to a lecture on “How American Women are Changing Politics” by Michelle Bernard. It was a part of the Mary Louise Smith Lecture Series put on by the Carrie Chapman Catt Center. It was a really good talk - it made me consider some things I hadn't thought of before, and I know it is always good for me to see a strong female who is right of center, to help broaden my views.

Well, there's my month of new things. I didn't do great job, but I think it did make me try a little more. One thing I also tried today (April 1) - chia seeds in my oatmeal. I think I like them! They get a little weird and gelatinous (like tapioca), while also staying a little crunchy somehow... but pretty good. Look at me go! :)
