March 9-10

March 9
  • Bought new grey rugs for the master bathroom (on 3/7).
  • New things bought at the grocery store on 3/8: cherry tomatoes and basmati rice.
  • Tried new Pandora station (Cake) while getting ready this morning.
  • Tried a new weight machine at the gym (ab machine, didn't like it)
  • Did negatives on the pull up bar in the main gym area for the first time (intimidating because I feel like everyone is watching me struggle).
March 10
First of all, what the hell was that ab machine? I have never had my abs hurt so deep. So maybe even though it's not fun, it's a good ab workout! Here is a picture of the machine:


  • So today we made buffalo ranch chicken wraps at home (first time)... pretty tasty.
  • I made a list of my heavy weight lifting exercises so I can be more targeted when I go to the gym.
I'm really liking lifting heavy, which is different for everyone, but I judge it as the max amount of weight you can do for 3-6-rep sets. It's usually more than I think I can do, and I've really built some good muscle in the last 6-9 months or so and it makes me feel strong. I recently read this article that also sums up the benefits of lifting heavy.
